(This is an old post but a GREAT one. I’m sharing an experience that happened a few months ago that I am happy to share…now. Enjoy!)
This is a beautiful day and I am so grateful for all the blessings we have received.
After 10 years of marriage, my husband and I signed on a house today. Our first home. *
We have been looking and searching for homes, for what seems like forever now.
We chose a home in Texas.
We have spent the last several months looking in many states trying to find something that we felt would be right for our family.
We have always loved the idea of moving to Texas but didn’t know when it would work out.
After looking in many states and not being able to find something in our price range or in an area where we desired to live, we came back to the idea of finally making the move to Texas.
All within a month we found a house we liked, in an area we liked, with all the places, activities, and weather we were looking for.
We bought the house and saw everything virtually.
As of today we are homeowners and will be moving into our brand new house next week, the day after Christmas. 🙂
We are so overjoyed and feel very blessed to have made it to this point.
It feels like the exact right time that we should be buying our first home.
It all turned out so wonderfully
To complete this wonderful day of signing on our home we were able to renew our Temple Recommends.
When we were meeting with the stake president and told him our story about looking for about a year in many states and finding our house in the last month, he said something so powerful…
He told my husband, “It’s amazing that when things are right, they will fall into place.”
We believe that after over the years of building our faith and allowing God to bless us and shape us the way he thinks is best, has strengthened us spiritually.
We have turned our lives and hearts over to Him.
Our Strong Mountain
We feel like when we do the will of the Lord and do our best to follow the commandments we can move our mental mountains, spiritual mountains, and temporal mountains.
After completing my interview I felt so overwhelmed with love and gratitude.
I sat there sobbing and praying to my Heavenly Father, expressing my gratitude for His tender mercies in my life, marriage, and family.
We were able to sign on a home, receive an earthly blessing and renew our temple recommend and receive a spiritual blessing.
Many times in the scriptures we review the experiences of the prophets and people receiving tender mercies from the Lord.
A group of people in the scriptures (Book of Mormon) called the Jaradites were a great example of receiving many tender mercies from the Lord.
The Jaradites were asked by the Lord to build a barge and go across oceans to a new location. They spent much time in a barge on the ocean to be sent to a promised land.
They didn’t know where the Lord would take them and exactly how, but they had faith that everything would work out.
They believed in the tender mercies and blessings God had given them.
I believe we have received a similar tender mercy.
The Lord Knows The Best Timing
We have been waiting, sometimes impatiently for the direction or location we needed to be but all along the Lord was preparing us spiritually and strengthening us for what we are receiving now.
I am so grateful to have received two wonderful blessings today.
One for my earthly and one for my spiritual experience.
I know that the Lord is willing to bless us and loves us.
I hope to keep turning to the Lord and exercising my faith in Him even during times of tremendous blessings.
I have come closer to Him during this process and I feel forever grateful.
I love my Father in Heaven and my Savior. I believe they do want to provide the best for me and my family.
I hope that my earthly home and spiritual heaven on earth in the temple is built with my faith and dedication growing towards Jesus Christ and acknowledging His tender mercies.
He knows the best way and the right timing. All things work for those that have faith.
